Nov. 7-8, Wichita

The Kansas Water Office is excited to announce the annual Governor’s Conference on the Future of Water in Kansas will be November 7-8, 2019 at a NEW LOCATION, the Hyatt Regency in Wichita, Kansas. This is the eighth year for the conference and it will include a Welcome Event and early registration Wednesday evening, November 6 as well as breakout sessions on the first day of the conference. The conference will likely attract 700 attendees, including state and Congressional legislators, state and federal officials, organizations and citizens who share an avid interest in our state’s water resources.

The event will highlight updates to the Kansas Water Vision and its integration with the Kansas Water Plan. It will also include the latest policy and research developments of water issues in Kansas. The preliminary conference topics could include:

Sustainability across the supply chain
Flooding Impacts
Groundwater Quality
Reservoir Sediment Management
